Yesterday I went to the opening of Noel Coward’s play Private Lives at Shanghai’s Ke Centre Theater.
The play was performed and staged by SRT, and I have to tell you that I just loved everything!
From the amazing actors and actresses to the set design, the costumes, the music, the lights and the atmosphere, aaaaaall of it was perfect.
They are going to be performing also tonight, next sunday 30 and monday 31. If you are in Shangahi you just have to go!
Thanks guys I really enjoyed it!

I know, I know. As obssesed as I was with Empire of the Sun and I did not write a post about them until today!
I’m slow, what can I tell you… mmmmmm
Anyway, here they are: Empire of the Sun, one of my last year obssessions.
These pair of australians have the most incredible album tracks, nice sound that places me back to my youth again (sic) and of course awesome 80′s aesthetics! C’mon, is like seeing the poster of “Big trouble in Little China” with the characters singing!

Yes, I know I should have read the books first, but I did it the other way and I’ve just seen the series that BBC has done on Henning Mankell’s novels and I just looooooove it!
Kenneth Brannagh plays the role of Ystad detective Kurt Wallander in a series where the swedish landscapes as well as the urban interiors creates a cold, sometimes sad, but always beautiful atmosphere that becames a central character in every chapter.
You have to see it. I have to read it.

Madeleine Vionnet founded her fashion house on 1912 and after decades being called ” queen of the bias cut” she had to close down VIONNET due to WWII.
Now thanks to investor Matteo Marzotto (formerly of Valentino) and with Rodolfo Paglialunga as Creative Director, they are re-launching the house of VIONNET with a beauuuuutiful collection.
The colour block dresses, the drapings, the jewellery details… Vionnet is my new religion!

I ‘ve seen mr.Ritchie’s new Sherlock Holmes movie and I have to say that I liked it!
I was not sure what to expect of the casting, but finally I quite liked Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law playing Holmes and Watson.
And the best is that you can find the old pre-Madonna Ritchie in every scene. Just check the ¨boxing¨scenes and you´ll see what I mean.
Amazing end titles also created by Prologue. Check it!

This Christmas, back at home, I saw the documentary “Garbo. The spy who saved D-day”. I think it’s really worth checking it, even if it’s only to learn about the almost incredible story of this “ordinary” man that achieved things as unusual as get decorated by both the Nazi Germany and the British Allies.
